Government Releases Three Energy Strategies

The Government has released three Energy Strategies that might be of interest to KTN Members. They are:

  • Renewable Energy Strategy - The UK Low Carbon Transition Plan plots out how the UK will meet the cut in emissions set out in the budget of 34% on 1990 levels by 2020.
  • Low Carbon Transport: A Greener Future - With greenhouse gas emissions from transport representing 21 per cent of total UK domestic emissions, decarbonising transport must be part of the solution.
  • Low Carbon Industrial Strategy - The transition to a low carbon world will transform our whole economy. The vast majority of, if not all, economic activity in Britain will have to reduce its carbon impact significantly.
